GREENWICH, Conn. – Building on the momentum of its launch just 18 months ago in Fairfield County, the co-founders of Zaniac Greenwich have announced plans for a major expansion of 10 new campuses in the New York Metropolitan area with the opening of two new campuses in Westport and Manhattan.

The Westport campus is at 1391 Post Road E. and the Manhattan campus is at 261 E. 78th St.. Both campuses are scheduled to open by early September, according to a press release.

Zaniac is a national STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) franchise designed from the ground up to prioritize fun, to actively engage and integrate a multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving, according to a press release.

Zaniac first entered the Northeast in December 2013 when Greenwich residents Camilla Gazal and Flavia Naslausky opened the Greenwich campus at 644 W. Putnam Ave. Since opening in Greenwich, more than 500 students K-8 have signed up for Zaniac’s programs, according to a press release.

“As mothers and business professionals, we knew we wanted to open an enrichment center that was focused on STEM education,” Gazal said in a press release. “Witnessing first-hand the overwhelmingly positive impact Zaniac had on our own children confirmed our decision to bring the opportunity to other children throughout the region."

"When we opened our first campus, we expected to see most of our students coming from the Greenwich area," said Naslausky in a press release. "However, we were surprised and delighted to see enrollment from students in other communities in Fairfield County as well as nearby Westchester County and even New York City. That’s when we decided the time was right to take the Zaniac concept to a wider audience.”

The company provides a host of STEM learning programs that attempts to get kids excited about math and science while preparing them for 21st Century jobs, according to a press release.

Zaniac was founded by Paul Zane Pilzer, a college professor, economist, entrepreneur and author. Pilzer served as an economic adviser in the administrations of two presidents and has started or taken public six companies in health-care and K-12 education, according to a press release.
