Chef Rolando Guardado, sommelier Ian Toogood and bartender Eric Bufo have joined the staff at Cotto, which opened in 2012, Restauranteurs Claudio and Silvy Ridolfi announced.

Guardado, formerly of Fairfield County’s Z Hospitality Group, has refreshed Cott's menu and created a catering arm for the business.

Accredited sommelier Toogood previously worked at Marc Restaurant Group’s A Voce in Manhattan and Le Fat Poodle in Greenwich and has revamped Cotto's wine list.

Bufo created a name for himself while at Walrus & Carpenter in the Black Rock neighborhood of Bridgeport.

Cotto is reminiscent of a tucked away café found off the beaten path in Rome. Designed as a tapas style wine bar with communal dining tables, the focal point of this hip urban eatery is the exposed brick wall adorned with vintage photos and magazine covers of Silvy’s mother, who was a prominent actress and model in Italy throughout the 1960s and 1970s.

The restaurant features live music on Thursdays at 7 p.m., happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and is open seven days a week. It is located at 51 Bank St. Click here to visit the restaurant website or call 203-914-1400.
