A bicyclist was paralyzed after a Trek Bicycle Corp. bike with disc brakes and a front quick release lever malfunctioned, CNN reported. More than 900,000 bicycles have been recalled.

Trek is offering free replacements to those whose bicycles are affected, plus a $20 coupon to use toward another product, according to a letter prepared by Trek and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
