WILTON, Conn. -- Make-A-Wish Connecticut has hired Wilton's Pam Keough as the new president and chief executive officer.

Keough has served as the chief operating officer for Make-A-Wish Connecticut since March 2013. In her new leadership role, "Keough will govern the mission, vision and values of Make-A-Wish throughout the state while working with the Trumbull-based staff and team of over 250 volunteers towards their vision to grant the wishes of every eligible child in Connecticut," representatives said in a release.

“There’s nothing like making a wish come true for a child facing a life-threatening medical condition,” commented Keough. “When we grant children their heartfelt wishes, we help them experience hope, strength and joy. During the wish experience, joy eclipses illness. I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing organization. I look forward to serving as President and CEO and being a part of the many wishes we grant for Connecticut children.”

Prior to joining the Make-A-Wish Connecticut team, Keough served in senior management positions at Selective Insurance Corporation of America and General Re Corporation.

The mission of Make-A-Wish Connecticut is to "grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy," representatives said in a press release.
