The celebration, set to run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., includes special guests Singer/Actress Victoria Justice and former NBA Superstar John Starks. A red carpet reveal and Lord & Taylor signature rose wall will usher guests into this stunning renovation of a Stamford department store icon.

Retail proceeds from the evening will benefit the Stamford Family YMCA and Save the Children. The party continues throughout the weekend with fashion events, sales incentives, special guests, and more.

“Since 1969, Lord & Taylor Stamford has been a destination within Fairfield County and an important location for our company, and I am excited to reveal the updates to the shopping experience for today’s customer,” said Liz Rodbell, President, Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay.

The renovation, completed in two phases, touches all three levels of the store. The store now has a more intuitive flow, new finishes, upgraded services, and classic, as well as more cutting edge designers.

Phase One was completed in late 2015 and revealed full renovations to the lower and upper levels. Both floors received upgrades to flooring, lighting, and fitting rooms. Call buttons have been added to the fitting rooms, connecting to associates headsets, allowing customers to receive assistance quickly.

On the lower level, the men’s department, including activewear, was refreshed and reorganized to welcome several new brands: J Brand, Vince, MPG, New Balance, 2(x)ist, Selected Homme, MPG, Timberland, and more.

The women’s department (sizes to 22W/3X) was expanded and relocated from the lower level to the upper level to join the dresses department, which nearly doubled in size. Dresses now commands more than 8,000 square feet, and recently introduced new brands including Karl Lagerfeld Paris, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Vera Wang.

New brands in women’s (sizes to 22W/3X) include Melissa McCarthy, Juna Rose, Moda Mix, Marc Performance, and Nic+Zoe. Also on the upper level, ladies’ activewear has been enlarged to accommodate an increase in demand, and has welcomed new brands including New Balance, MPG, Nanette Lepore, and Betsy Johnson.

Phase Two focused on the store’s main floor. There, ladies’ shoes, cosmetics and jewelry expanded, allowing each department to welcome new brands. New cosmetic brands include Flawless by Friday, Fillerina, Brow Gal and BlowPro. On the main floor, there are now over 45,000 pairs of shoes available to customers, including new brands Kendall + Kylie, H Halston and Fergie Footwear. Additionally, on the main floor, a new beauty “play space” has been added along with a Rebecca Minkoff pop-up shop.

As a way to elevate a more seamless shopping experience, Lord & Taylor has added three personal shoppers, one of whom is focused solely on dresses. She can assist the customer with finding the perfect dress for whatever the occasion, as well as underpinnings, accessories and more to finish the look.

A concierge service is another new feature, creating a full service approach. Lastly, a refresh to The Signature Café at Lord & Taylor on the upper level has been part of Phase Two.

Lord & Taylor is located at 110 High Ridge Rd.,  (203) 327-6600.
