The 85th Anniversary Cocktail Party will be held on Thursday, April 23, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Renowned horticulturalist Michael Dirr will be speaking on Friday, April 24, at 11 a.m. On Saturday, April 25, the nursery will host a series of lectures, including a lecture by “The Perennial Diva” Stephanie Cohen and a cooking demonstration by Aux Delices.

A new Nexus greenhouse has been built complete with a new store, a new retail area, new growing range, a new potting area and more. In addition to improving efficiency, the new facility collects roof runoff, which is recirculated then used for irrigation. It’s also more energy efficient; applying zone heating (only heating areas where plants are located), heat curtains are used to retain heat at night, and a new open roof in the greenhouse eliminates the need for cooling fans.

Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouses is at 437 North St., Greenwich.
