Jackie Ekholm and her children, Nicholas, Alexander, and Linnea, started MOO in 2009 with the idea of creating organic chocolate treats like the ones they enjoyed while visiting Switzerland.

It has grown into a business that distributes their chocolate bars up and down the East Coast and to California.

The Ekholms are looking for funds to help launch the next wave of organic chocolate sweets, the MOO sMOOch, a bite-size piece of chocolate filled with caramel, peanut butter, milk or honey.

The new endeavor will require $18,000 to $20,000 in startup expenses for packaging, ingredients and new molds for the production line.

The MOO is looking for $20,000 from the Kickstarter campaign that will run through Wednesday, Nov. 27.
