The following message from Chief Operating Officer Martin V. Hersham, headlined “A message to our valued readers,” was posted on the Post's website:

“We will no longer be publishing a printed edition of The Greenwich Post. This was a difficult decision, but despite having an extremely talented and dedicated staff there was not adequate advertising to support continued publication. We will continue publishing on greenwich-post.com. Thank you for your support and involvement with The Post and we look forward to continuing to serve you on greenwich-post.com."

Hersam Acorn also stopped printed editions of The Fairfield Sun and The Valley Gazette, which covers Ansonia, Derby and Seymour, according to its website.
