Greenwich Fugitive Accused Of Stealing $65M From Norwalk Firm

GREENWICH, Conn. – A wealthy, connected Harvard-educated Indian-American is now a federal fugitive, believed by financial regulators to have stolen $65 million from his employer, reports the wallstreetjournal.com.

According to the story, Iftikar Ahmed, 43, started skimming money from the prestigious venture capital firm Oak Investment Partners in Norwalk after he was hired in 2004.

He was arrested in May on insider trading charges unrelated to his job, and officials said they believe he fled the country using an expired passport and is likely in India, the story saids.
