You might want to get your complimentary tickets for “Moving Forward in the Absence of GE,” the first-ever summit and panel discussion hosted by Fairfield University’s Master of Public Administration program.
The event, to be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 11, will feature a cavalcade of state and local leaders who can speak to the issue from several angles.
News 12’s Tom Applebee will moderate the program and Q&A session featuring: Fairfield First Selectman Michael Tetreau; Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst; State Sen. Tony Hwang (R-28); State Rep. Cristin McCarthy Fahey (D-133); State Rep. Laura Devlin (R-134); State Rep. Brenda Kupchick (R-132); Bridgeport Finance Director Ken Flatto; Business Council of Fairfield County Vice President of Public Policies and Programs Joseph McGee; and Mark LeClair, director of Fairfield University’s MPA program.
“With GE leaving, there is a lot of uncertainty,” LeClair said. “The summit creates a space for politicians and the business community to discuss ways to move forward, and provides citizens a place to ask questions.”
The summit is co-sponsored by the Dolan Business School, College of Arts and Sciences, Graduate Communication Program, and both the Economic and Political Science departments, and will run in partnership with the Quick Center for the Arts’ Open Vision Series.
