But thanks to an infusion of cash from Marcus Lemonis and Fischer Enterprises, who stepped in to take ownership of Crumbs, many of the cupcake outlets have sprung open again. The doors have reopened in Greenwich, Stamford and Westport as well as in a number of locations in New York City and across the country.

Crumbs is back in the cupcake business and selling its trademark gigantic confections costing up to $4.50 each with their unique flavors and cake-and-frosting combinations.

Here are the local addresses, if you need a cupcake fix:

  • Greenwich: 48 W. Putnam Ave.
  • Stamford: 1067 High Ridge Road
  • Westport: 40-44 Post Rd E.

The store in the Danbury Fair Mall has not reopened, nor has the New Canaan location, which had shut down in October 2013.

Crumbs Bake Shop first opened its doors in March 2003 on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, offering a blend of comfort-oriented classic baked goods, according to its website.

The company announced its closing in July 2014, but Lemonis and Fischer Enterprises saved the business from closing expanded its product offerings beyond traditional cupcake goods.
